I was born and raised in the small town of Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
For as long as I can remember, I've always loved fashion and the idea of creative expression. My passion to pursue a career in the fashion industry later inspired me to move to California to attend The Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in downtown LA.
After graduating with a degree in Merchandise Marketing, I moved to New York City and developed into one of the leading sales stylists for luxury fashion house Henri Bendel.
With 6 years of sales and clientele experience under my belt, I decided to leave the fashion world and New York behind to move back to my home-state where I set out to spend the next chapter of my life building THE ART OF FATE.
Working in the heart of the fashion industry, you learn a lot about what goes on behind the glamorous image of luxury brands. The lack of transparency. The incredible amount of waste we produced. The toxic company culture. The narrow focus on corporate profits. The non-existence of social responsibility. I came to the realization that I needed to get out of this industry or build something more sustainable and focused around my core values.
My vision is for THE ART OF FATE to become the first luxury marketplace for conscious fashion, clean beauty, and lifestyle products that support independent makers around the world and create sustainable impact for the environment. Sharing the stories behind the products we're creating, supporting fellow social entrepreneurs, partnering with non-profits, and building a movement for social change in the fashion industry has been the most challenging and fulfilling work of my life. This is beyond fashion. What we're creating is a movement of conscious consumers who want to make a positive impact in the world through the products we buy.
